It is a project of large-format works, with which I graduated in my last year of drawing, 2013 from ENSABAP and in which I also include collage applications. I carry out the resemantization of different works from the history of art, going through the Spanish Golden Age, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Impressionism and Surrealism, each with a work represented and elaborated in my own way: volumetric women, of generous proportions .

Resemantization brings with it the displacement of the meaning of the original work to acquire a new one, being a reinterpretation that achieves in some cases, a result of humor, in others, a critical sense (or both). These works do not represent an apology for obesity, but are a pretext to imply that in society there is always, or almost always, a defined canon regarding the female figure in fashion matters, even in works of art: women slim with the exception of some periods.

The background is to learn to value yourself, feel good about yourself and understand that we are unique, today more than ever, when the world becomes colder due to new technologies and the demand for demolition advertising on networks or television is physical perfectionism. Let's love each other more.
